About DTA Scam Awareness
DTA Scam Awareness is a community education organization dedicated to protecting seniors and their families from financial scams. We believe that knowledge is the best defense against fraud. Our mission is to empower vulnerable populations with practical, judgment-free guidance on recognizing common scam tactics and understanding how fraudsters operate. We work directly with senior centers, churches, banks, and civic organizations to bring our message where it matters most.
Through our free in-person presentations and online resources, we help participants understand the most prevalent scam tactics, learn how to identify warning signs, and know exactly what steps to take if they or a loved one has been targeted. Our YouTube channel, 'They Said Don't Tell Anyone,' extends our mission beyond the classroom, providing accessible, compassionate education to anyone seeking to protect the people they love from financial exploitation.
